Station-based work, regardless of service
Every job at Pinionworks follows the same underlying structure. Intake and assessment come first — always. Work begins only when scope and approach are agreed. Each defined stage of the job is completed and checked before the next begins. Nothing runs in parallel, nothing is skipped.
For a simple crystal polish, this takes a day or two. For a complicated restoration, it takes months. The pace of work is set by what the piece requires, not by a schedule imposed from outside.

Service 01
Crystal Polishing & Light Refinish
฿4,400 · Turnaround: 1–2 days
Removal of light scratches from acrylic or mineral crystals and a tidy of the surrounding bezel. A sensible option for daily-wear pieces that have collected surface marks over the years. Includes a clarity check and reseating of the crystal where required. Work is completed within one to two days in most cases.
Not every scratch is removable by polishing. If the crystal has chips or damage that polishing cannot address, the workshop will say so at assessment. Replacement is an option and the cost will be quoted separately.

Service 02
Dial Refinishing & Hand Refitting
฿9,500 · Turnaround: approx. 3 weeks
Sympathetic refinishing of a tired dial and refitting of hands, carried out to keep the character of the piece intact. For owners whose dial has aged unevenly but who prefer a measured, honest refresh over a heavy redo. Colour matching to the original is pursued where feasible, and hands are carefully realigned after refitting.
Where the original print method or pigment cannot be sourced for matching, the owner is told before any work begins. The decision on how to proceed stays with the owner.

Service 03
Pocket Watch & Complication Restoration

Specialist work on pocket watches or complicated movements such as repeaters and calendars, carried out station by station with parts hand-fitted as needed. For owners of intricate or antique pieces requiring unhurried, considered attention. The service includes a written assessment, staged restoration, and a final regulation across positions.
The eight-to-twelve week window reflects the time this work genuinely needs. Owners receive written updates at the assessment stage, at a defined mid-point, and when the piece is ready for collection.

Across All Services
Standards that apply to every job
Secure piece handling
Every piece is logged at intake and stored securely when not at a bench station. Movements are kept in labelled, closed trays. Cases and straps stored separately.
Job record maintained
A physical record accompanies each piece through the workshop, noting the condition at intake, work performed at each station, and any decisions made during the job.
No surprises at collection
Cost changes during the job are discussed and agreed before work continues. Nothing is added to the bill that was not agreed in advance.
Original character respected
Finishing decisions account for original surface treatment and appropriate ageing. An over-restored piece is not the aim. The owner's preference is always the deciding factor.
Parts preference policy
Original or period-correct parts are sourced where possible. Substitutions are presented and agreed before fitting — never assumed.
Owner data used only for repair communication
Contact information is used to communicate about the repair in progress. It is not retained or used for any other purpose after the job is complete.
