Chiang Mai · Est. Workshop
Each piece receives the attention it deserves.
Pinionworks is a Chiang Mai workshop offering unhurried repair work on wristwatches, pocket watches, and complicated movements. Crystal polishing, dial refinishing, and full restorations — handled station by station.
What We Do
Three areas of repair work
Each service is carried out at a dedicated station. Work moves at the pace the piece requires, not at the pace of a production schedule.
Crystal Polishing & Light Refinish
Surface marks removed from acrylic or mineral crystals, bezel tidied, crystal reseated where needed. A good fit for daily-wear pieces that have collected scratches over time. Turnaround one to two days.
- Light scratch removal
- Clarity check included
- Crystal reseating
Dial Refinishing & Hand Refitting
Sympathetic refinishing of a tired dial, keeping the character of the piece. Colour matched to the original where feasible, hands carefully realigned. For owners who prefer an honest refresh over a heavy redo. Around three weeks.
- Colour matching where feasible
- Careful hand alignment
- Character of piece preserved
Pocket Watch & Complication Restoration
Specialist work on pocket watches or complicated movements — repeaters, calendars — carried out station by station. Includes a written assessment, staged restoration, and final regulation across positions. Eight to twelve weeks.
- Written assessment provided
- Parts hand-fitted as needed
- Regulation across positions
Why Pinionworks
What sets the workshop apart
Station-by-Station Method
Work is broken into defined stations. Each stage is completed and verified before the next begins, keeping quality consistent from first inspection to final check.
Written Assessment on Request
For restoration work, a written assessment is prepared before any work begins. Owners know what is being done and why, with no surprises at collection.
Honest Turnaround Times
Turnaround estimates are stated clearly and kept to. If something changes, owners are contacted directly. No vague windows, no unexplained delays.
Piece Character Respected
Refinishing is sympathetic, not aggressive. Original finish and ageing are considered before any tool touches the surface. Heavy cosmetic work is never the default.
Specialist Complication Work
Repeaters and calendar movements require hand-fitting of parts and careful regulation. This workshop takes on that work and gives it the time it needs.
Accessible Chiang Mai Location
